I've been pretty lucky thus far with smaller cosmetic companies and their customer service. I finally tried out some gel liners after seeing swatches of Shu Uemura's limited edition tribal ones (Pink one is an Asia exclusive. Sad Panda), but $24 for one was a little steep for this unemployed Christmas log cake. I took advantage of their WINTERDAZE promotion in which I got 30% off, free shipping and free eyeshadow to boot. I'll be posting reviews and swatches for them (and FRESH products) now that the semester's over.

A++ Customer Service and why!

I ordered two black gel liners and one came used. Swirled around to high heavens and dried crust like one of Saturn's rings. I sent them an email about getting a replacement (which they did) and mentioned the missing eyeshadow (What? I've heard great things about them and have been wanting to try $10 Pineapple solely for its name). It gets better. Not only will they replace it free of charge but I'll so be getting another gel liner (in a color of my choosing- it doesn't hurt to ask :D). I actually prefer the gel liner over the eyeshadow because eyeshadows are a slippery slope for me. Red eyeshadows are my weakness though.

Brand new love: iMomoko

Let me start off by prefacing that I bought something from iMomoko.com today because of Fuzkittie.

I've been busy with summer session at my uni and I had planned on my next few posts to be about Fresh products. Brand Loyalty anyone? However, as I'm in the middle of baking cookies and salt caramels, I have to write this post. iMomoko has wonderful customer service!

Within a few minutes of sending an inquiry on whether or not AMEX is accepted (the footer says it is), a reply was sent clarifying that AMEX is accepted but only through paypal. And paypal woes begin once more. As soon as I sign in it asks me to update an old credit card. I cancelled and next thing I know I'm taken to the "Thank you for the purchase" page. Apparently paypal took it out from a spare bank account. Translation: not enough funds and I don't want to be slapped with a $40 overdraft fee.

A quick inquiry to iMomoko, and BAM! as Emeril Lagasse would say. My order was cancelled and I went ahead to re-order this time with AMEX (after I added it to paypal). I'm very excited about my minature haul.

And I have a follower; be still my beating heart! Over the weekend I received a brand new nail polish, my second OPI by Sephora: 212-Sephora, a LE shade available at their Times Square location or online. I picked up two (Thank you, ebates for the $10 gift certificate you sent me when I signed up). Its neatness really shines in the Summer sun. The Nailphile has a swatch of it here. Sephora describes it as "smoky black with iridescent, gold and copper glitter." I see flakies, and not the goldfish kind so the chorus swells.

I have not accepted Christ as my savior nor do I intend to and I don't need a vacuum cleaner!
But I do enjoy reading reviews on skincare, cosmetic and nail products. I'm a Knockout fan.

My blog's not visually stimulating yet.
I'm still learning this mechanism as I'm more of a livejournal individual.

Eschatological writings aside, my fixation for nail polishes is beating out skincare stuff. Oh dear
